Legoland

A 12-minute car journey brings you to Legoland Windsor, where Britain’s bigger LEGO store lets imaginations run wild with The Minifigure factory, enabling children to create and customise their very own LEGO model that can be printed and taken home.

The park itself offers a variety of rides and attractions bringing the much-loved world of LEGO to life, with exploration by land, water and road all possible as you move through decades of cherished LEGO themes.

A total of 55 interactive rides and live shows set in 150 acres of parkland makes for a memorable day trip together, after which you can return to our hotel for food and drink as you excitedly discuss the highlights.

Found only 20-minutes’ drive away from our hotel, Thorpe Park is every thrillseekers dream. A great choice for a day out when visiting the area with teenagers and young adults, watch them have the time of their lives as they take on record breaking roller coasters and rides.

From the world’s first ten-loop roller coaster featuring plenty of twists and turns to Nemesis Inferno’s high-speed spins and drops, there’s plenty for those who enjoy an adrenaline rush here. The kids don’t have to have all the fun though, with plenty of family-friendly activities available including sailing down a rapid river, dodgem and four lane water slides.

Windsor Castle

Nearby Windsor Castle is a must-visit for families interested in finding out more about this iconic regal residence and experiencing its programme of tours and events. Time your visit right and you will get to witness the Changing the Guard - a spectacle harnessing the height of British tradition as The Queen’s guards change shifts in dramatic fashion.

Look inside and observe The State Apartments, housing grand, magnificent rooms The Queen uses to entertain guests to the castle, including St George’s Hall as the splendid setting for many a banquet over the years.

When visiting with children aged between 7-11 years old, they can learn more about the castle through a designated family activity trail, while the free family multimedia tour sees Scorch the dragon tell the tale of each corner of the dramatic structure.

Lapland

A trip to Lapland in under 10 minutes’ drive sees the kids able to immerse themselves in the story of Santa Claus and his elves through everything from interactive workshop demonstrations as elves busy themselves making toys to the opportunity to taste Mother Christmas’ delicious gingerbread cookies in her kitchen.

A visit to Lapland wouldn’t be complete without getting to see Santa Claus himself, and he can be found waiting at the end of the snowy forest in his cosy wood-cabin home (watch out for his magical sleigh and reindeer en-route!). Once the children see their very own name printed on Father Christmas’s Good List and receive presents from the man himself, their excitement for the Christmas season will know no bounds.
