Getting Ready for the Season With Our Upgraded Courses & Facilities

Throughout the winter months, the Macdonald Hotels golf teams have been working tirelessly across our golf venues to elevate the standard of our greens, off-course facilities and food & beverage offering, ensuring golfers can look forward to an unrivalled experience this golf season.

Whether you're a golf member, a guest at our golf hotels or just visiting for the day, you're sure to be guaranteed fantastic golf, luxurious off-course facilities and delicious food, all with the very best service from our hotel teams.

With a busy season ahead, we can’t wait to welcome golfers to our hotels set in some of the most scenic corners of the UK and deliver memorable experiences for all...

Substantial on and off-course investment

When it comes to our courses, we take things seriously. Which is why, during the off season, substantial investment has been made in the golf courses to improve green and fairway drainage, develop water features and restore tees and bunkers.

Off the course, practice facilities have been upgraded, the latest golf apparel and equipment has been delivered into the pro shops, halfway houses have been enhanced, plus a new and improved on-course drinks offering is now in place.

With longer days and better weather on the way and a new fleet of buggies ready to go, there is nowhere better for your group golf break, society day or round with friends than at a Macdonald Golf Hotel.

Relax over food & drink post round

From Spey Valley in Aviemore to Linden Hall Hotel, Golf & Spa, Northumberland and Portal Golf & Spa Resort, Cheshire - Macdonald Hotels are also able to offer golfers four-star accommodation, dining and leisure facilities, making for the perfect setting to re-live that match winning putt over something cold.

With a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, our hotel bars and clubhouses, including Cardrona in Peebles and Hill Valley in Shropshire, offer golfers a range of beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks, plus a whole host of delicious meals and light bites carefully prepared by our expert chefs.

But it’s not just off the course that golfers can benefit from the culinary delights Macdonald Hotels has to offer. The standard of our halfway houses has been raised in preparation for the new season, offering golfers delicious bacon rolls, artisan pies, snacks, locally sourced beers and a selection of soft drinks, making sure you are as equally well-catered for during play.
