Championship Course

Yards: 7041 | Par: 73 | SSS: 75

Our Championship Course, unveiled in 1990, earned the prestigious title of 'Golf Course of the Year' in 1995. It's the centerpiece of Portal's exceptional golfing facilities.

Renowned designer Donald Steel crafted a distinctive and challenging golf experience featuring unique holes and water hazards. His signature touch is evident in the 7,037-yard layout - the formidable 607-yard long third hole, guarded by a picturesque lake, stands out as a prime example of his design prowess.

Pro's Tip:
Playing from the yellow tees, the first hole at Macdonald Portal Championship Course eases you into your round, with a welcoming fairway and plenty of room to the left. Take your driver and fly the bunkers. It's a very different hole from the competition tees, however - those innocuous-looking bunkers are now very much in play.
