Mayor of Mijas Visits Macdonald Doña Lola Resort
We were very proud to host the official opening ceremony for the new stretch of the Malaga Coastal Path (Senda Litoral de Malaga) at Macdonald Doña Lola Resort. The new section at Calahonda runs in parallel to the resort and was completed in summer 2018, part of a 180km coastal boardwalk along the Malaga coast.
The ceremony was performed by the Mayor of Mijas Juan Carlos Maldonado (pictured above) and attended by Mijas340 TV, local press and many local dignitaries as well as Macdonald staff from the resort. Following a speech on the project the opening was made official with a ribbon cutting ceremony and a glass of fizz thanks to our friends at La Plaza Beach.
We'd like to thank everyone for their kind support and incredible patience over the past 12 months whilst this project has progressed. We know the huge benefit this facility brings to the whole region, in particular our guests at Doña Lola and Leila Playa.
