As a dog friendly resort, we welcome canine friends at Plas Talgarth. Situated in a glorious countryside location, with plenty of space to roam, there’s no shortage of great walks to be had nearby including making the most of the nearby beaches and hiking trails. Bringing Your Pets

To arrange for your dog(s) to stay, simply book your accommodation online and then call us to let us know your furry friends will be joining you.

Up to two dogs are welcome in each apartment, at £15 per apartment per night, with a maximum charge of £75 per apartment per stay, regardless of duration. Payments for your four-legged friends are to be made upon arrival.

Please contact reservations to ensure you have booked a dog friendly accommodation option in advance of your stay. Dogs are not allowed access to the mansion house or leisure facilities.

This does not apply to guests travelling with registered Guide Dogs or Hearing Dogs for Deaf People. Find out more about our resort dog policy.

Local Dog Walking Routes

Aberdyfi Circular

This 7km circular is the perfect scenic route for you and your canine companion to explore Aberdyfi and the surrounding area. Along the way you can learn more about the history of the area with a backdrop of breathtaking views.

Dolgoch Falls

Get off the Talyllyn Steam Railway at Dolgoch Station and take the short 1.6km walk to the the falls. Split into three sections, the lower section has a viewing point for those with limited mobility and the upper section leads to a picnic area and rock pools. 

Coed y Brenin Forest Park

There are three walking trails in Coed y Brenin Forest Park making it suitable for all fitness levels. With picnic spots and a children's play park, this is the perfect place to take your dog when visiting Plas Talgarth and less than an hour from the resort.
